The reason why I’m doing this podcast and we’ll be doing videos, is to challenge us, to encourage you and me to talk about issues, but most of all, to get you out of the nest, get you out of the social media viewing chair, to get us back into living in the local culture.
Right now, there’s billions of dollars that is spent by companies to reach people that are immersed in videos and immersed in the news. Even at a global level, there’s so much information and We’re not made, we were not made by God to be worried about every single murder, every funny joke, every problem in every country around the world. It’s it’s way way beyond. We are wired for he your house, your neighborhood, your community.
We focus on our lives, and then if we’re married and children, we focus on making sure that we protect and help them as men if you’re women, to to love your families and to make sure that life is is available to those. It’s it’s the doors open, the path way is available to pursue life, liberty, happiness, and acquire property. And too many political shows and talk shows are around keeping you angry, keeping you sad, talking about every problem murder, rape, and condition and virus in the world as long as you can fill up your time, and that is unhealthy and it creates people that are negative or cultic. We’re going to be talking about news.
We’ll talk about two or three main stories every day on Eric Thompson Show, the ones that I think matter. For example, the Supreme Court with the five to four ruling with liberal Chief Justice Roberts siding with the three Marxists on the Supreme Court, but the majority actually backed up the Trump administration’s constitutional right to govern the executive branch the way that they see fit, especially the president when he terminated to the Department of Education. Grants there were only available if for schools that had and were advancing diversity, equity and inclusion in their requirements for teachers. Trum administration, no, people need to be treated equally by merits alone is where promotions come from.
And the Body administration said, no, here’s a lot of money, here’s some grants if you advanced the EI, and Trump said no. Lower courts said, you can’t take that money away from the EI, even though you’re the executive chief executive officer the President of the United States over Department of Education in these cabinet positions. Supreme Court fied to four ruled finally, So this would be the second ruling one from a lower judge that said the president can’t be dictated by federal federal judges who were supposed to be handling their local area is so that’s going to be used by a spring court. But Spring Court finally ruled on one of these wild out of control Article three violating lower courts.
So I think we need to talk about what does what does this mean, why would Roberts go with the three Marxists, and how this could help the country to get back in balance with the constitutional alignments of the balance of power. Then we look at some insanity over in Colorado, Colorado House, the Democrats passed a bill which, if it became law, would allow the state to seize children from their parents if they quote unquote misgender them. So if Johnny says I’m Julie, and he says, john go clean up your room, he could then, with this law, if it was in place, say hey, state, you need to come in and take me away from my misgendering parents. It’s called the Misgendering Discriminatory Discriminatory Act.
You talk about that every day. I’m gonna every to every podcast, will probably do a podcast Monday, Wednesday, Friday. We’re going to talk about history. So, for example, where did the saying don’t throw the baby out with the bathswater? Come from? Was Uncle Sam a real person? Things like that.
If there’s a sports story the Final Four, maybe we’ll briefly talk about who’s gonna win that. I think it’ll be North Carolina, but I could be wrong, And then we’ll have a segment here on business. I’m gonna do one on Monday on how to start your own curb painting business where you paint numbers for people by their homes on the curb, and you’d be shocked how cheap it is to get into it and how much money people are making. So this is what I think we need to be talking about, faith issues, raising children, having a good marriage, how to get out of depression.
But the whole purpose of the podcast and of the videos is to say, why do you do what you do? Why do people do what they’re doing, What does it mean when the government does this? How much should we focus on federal issues versus just trying to stay local? What is AI doing? How will will affect our lives? How can you use it to make money or to in your business to maybe help you to be more efficient, but not to the point that you replace yourself. So we’re going to be a cultural news commentary podcast, not a raw, raw attack politicians or political people podcast and website because I want to be I want to be with people and hang with people and have our morning talks with people that actually enjoy living that even though there’s obstacles, there’s ways to overcome them, but to to hate a political side and then to overly embrace another side knowing that the one side, for example, the Trump administration following whoever was controlling the Joe Biden administration, we go, we go, teeter totter back over here. Well, President Trump will be out in less than four years. But our neighborhoods, our communities, our local school boards, the development of our city planning, all these things at the local and state level, those go on, and those are the ones we have a say in.
Immediately. We can touch those issues. And I believe that that a that a virtuous active citizens re citizens. That’s hard to say, citizenry.
There’s a lot of good, a lot of good that comes about when people are active locally. It is good to know what’s happening nationally, so we can be aware if there’s things that could creep into our state legislatures. But at the end of the day, when you’ve got your information and maybe you’ve been encouraged, maybe you learned something about where something came from or why we say something, and you can go repeat it, have a positive conversation of somebody struggling with the new and we happen to talk about it. Or if someone has a little bit of capital and they want to start a business, maybe they can.
You can say, did you know you can start a curb painting business for less than fifty bucks and make your money back in like two curbs. Let’s have some fun, let’s encourage each other, Let’s live in truth, let’s call out evil, and let’s make a difference in the gray nation the world’s ever seen in the United States of America.
