Hi, Welcome to Christian Talk. Thank you so much for joining me. My name is Aura Thompson. On today’s podcast, we’ll be going through Luke chapter six.
Luke chapter six. If you don’t open up your bibles and fuddle along, it’s a parallel. It’s over at Matthew five if you want to also bookmarket. Christian Talk is opportunity for believers to go through the Bible, one chapter in a time.
And the reason why we can do this is because God the Holy Spirit inspired forty men over fifteen hundred years on three different continents to write God’s Word in written form, and it all took place without any error because God the Holy Spirit using the writer’s vantage points from their view, but not allowing them to write heresy or false doctrines. We have what we call the Bible, the sixty six books. We haven’t, so when we get together, we go through God’s Word and then we trust and we ask the Holy Spirit to illuminate the words to us as we seek to grow in our faith, in our relationship, in our understanding of the One True God Yahweh, the one and Only Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, via the Only Holy Spirit God the Holy Spirit. One of those writers wrote in Hebrews for twelve that the word of God, now Jesus, is the word of God.
We’re going to read the Bible, the words of God about God inspired by God. So the word of God is living in active. It’s sharper than any double edged sword. It pierces even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and moral and it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
Just so you know, the heresy in the church comes from people who will not submit to the word of God. God’s word is living inactive. It’s judging the thoughts and attitudes of the heart, intentions of the heart. But they say, well, yeah, but this, and then it just starts to fall apart because well, we don’t really believe in Genesis one or two, we believe in this.
Well, then if the whole foundation of your teaching is that God’s word is not what it says it is, then you are going to put out heresy. We see this for you. Even far back when Lucifer, who though was in the presence of the One God, the omnipotent, all powerful, sovereign God, tried to be like him and thus was thrown out of heaven, and most likely about a third of the angels or thirty angels, followed him. We call them demons.
But the reality is the Word of God is living, inactive, and it’s a discerner. It judges our thoughts and intentions. Paul Over in two Timothy, during this time when Luke was ministering to Paul In the Roman in Rome in prison, wrote to the young pastor that he had mentored and discipled to Timothy starting in two Timothy three fifteen through seventeen. From infancy, you have known the holy scripture is which you’re able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.
All scripture is God breathed and is useful for instruction, for conviction, for correction, and for training and righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, fully equipped for every good work. When we submit to God’s word, then we are able to accept it as instruction. Thus we live accordingly. We when we are convicted, because our lives are not being lived out in light of scripture.
So then the conviction leads us toward corrections called repentance. And the end goal is we are trained up in righteousness. So that we may be fully complete, equipped for every good work. Every morning, I recommend that you spend time and first thing before you maybe even get out of bed.
Thank you God, your mercies are new. Give me this may this day be for your glory. Jesus, give me the give me wisdom, bless my efforts. Then we get in the word.
And then before you leave or start your day, put on the armor of God. Because we know that it’s there all the time. We have access to the throne, room of grace, to our relationship with God, to the finished work of Jesus Christ on the Cross. But understand, God’s mercies are new.
But the enemy, the hater of all that of all things, the Father, lies Lucifer and his demons. They don’t ever rest. So Paul says in Ephesian six, starting in verse ten, Finally, put be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.
So what happens stop here? What happens if you don’t put on the armor of God? How will your stand be against the devil schemes? He continues in verse twelve for our struggles not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. I mentioned this all the time in math in the Book of Daniel. Daniel when he’s asking the Lord for direction, it took the Angel three weeks to get to him to give him the answer from God, because he got into spiritual battle with the chief priest over Persia, and Michael had eventually come in and free him up. So we are in spiritual battle.
I have a podcast you can go back and listen to called Walking Amongst Demons. But every day put on your armor. Why so when the day of evil comes, you will be able to stand your ground. And after you’ve done everything to stand, stand firm with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, with your feet fitted for the readiness that comes from the Gospel of Peace.
In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take up the helmelets salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, and Paul finishes in verse eighteen of Dephesian six, and pray in the spirit on all occasions, with all kinds of prayers and request. Would this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. So we’re in God’s word.
It is infallible, it is about the one true living God. It was inspired by God, the Holy Spirit. It was God breathes. We get up, we put on the armor.
We’re ready for spiritual warfare. And then in that when the thoughts come or if you are somebody or if you know somebody that thinks they’re kind of going to do it both ways. They’re going to have one foot in the kingdom, but they want the liberties to still be in the world, because you know, we don’t want to be so heavenly minded that we’re no worldly good. I’ve actually heard that heretical statement often.
I’m actually working on a podcast for several godly ungodly statements that people attribute to scriptures. Well. In first On, he says in verse fifteen to one John two fifteen, do not love the world or anything in the world, because if anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. If you love the world like Lot’s wife loved sodom and was turned to salt because she kept gazing back towards her sinful lifestyle that she had lived in.
Then John continues in one John two sixteen, for all that is in the world, this is what the world’s pursuing. This is what you should not be pursuing. And as you grow in the Lord, as all of us, those desires should fade. We should hate the things we used to love, and we should love the things we could care less about before.
But this is what the world’s pursuing. Here’s how you can test test yourself. The world is pursuing the desires of the flesh, the desires of the eyes, and the pride of life. This is not from the Father, but from the world.
Paul and Romes twelve to two said, do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what is the good, pleasing, imperfect will of God. Jesus in John fifteen eighteen said, if the world hates you, understand that it hated me first. If you were of the world, it would love you as its own.
Instead, the world hates you because you’re not of this world. But I have chosen you out of the world. But if someone is trying to have it both ways, then James just lays it out for you. If you know anybody, there’s no such thing as a carnal Christian.
By the way, you cannot live unrepentant in carnality. John says. If you say you love God but you continue in sin unrepentant, you’re a liar and the truth is not in you. James fourth War says to you, to people who want to try to think they’re getting away with it, we know Matthew seven twenty one is very cleary.
You don’t because people go to hell, are sent to hell by God, directly by Jesus Christ himself, because as they were proclaiming all the things they did for the kingdom, Jesus says, I never you told. I’ll never know who you are. I don’t know who you are away from me. So James fourth Ward says, you adulteresses, do you not know the friendship with the world as hostility toward God? One more time, do you not know that friendship with the world the system you know pursuing the desires of the flesh, of desires of the eyes, and the part of life.
Friendship with the world is hostility toward God. Therefore, whoever chooses to be a friend of the world renders himself an enemy of God. And with all that in mind, Paul and two Corinthian six fourteen says, then Christians do not be partnering up or unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what righteousness can lawlessness? What fellowship has righteousness with the lawlessness? Or what communion with light and darkness? So you don’t love the world, you don’t partner up with the world.
We’re in the world. We’re not of the world. We are the light of the world. And let’s get ready for Luke chapter six.
Before we start here. Do you have the flu? Are you worried about getting the flu? Are you sleeping good enough to where your immunity can get built up? Are you detoxing your body? Naturally? Most people aren’t, which is why flu season and colds are so prevalent. Because the American diet, the lack of proper amount of sleep, and everything else. Well, Doctor vladimir’s Alenko came up with products and He became pretty famous during COVID nineteen because he came up with a protocol the thousands of people took when they had the first signs of COVID nineteen, and because of the Alenko protocol, they were able to avoid being hospitalized and they’re the natural immunity built up and they were able to get healthy without vent leaders and all that.
Well, even President Trump said, you’ll see the video on the website. It’s get the letter z stack dot com. Get z stack dot com. President Trump says that we’ve been interviewed.
Yeah, that Mark Meadows, his chief of staff back then, spoke with Zlanko’s team and they gave him the protocol and and you got on zinc and other products part of diza stock protocol, which he’ll President Trump recover. So doctor z Lanko came up with the z stock, which is the foundational supplement. He came up with z h because it helps support and strengthen your immune system through deeper, RESTful sleep, so your immunity can build up while you’re sleeping. This is all natural stuff.
He came up with z flu. Z flu helps your body naturally build up the immunity to fight off getting the flu, but if you get it, to recover quicker from the flu. So check out his products. He even has does Lenko protocol kits that you can keep, and several of you have been getting these kits you keep in your closet just in case there’s another COVID nineteen or if you go on a trip and it’s got ivermectin, hydrochoor chloroquin in it.
He’s got doxycycling, dex and metasone. It’s got all those things. Remember where oh no, you don’t want to take that during COVID, then people took it and they got healthy again. The protocol in the kit has ivermectin, hydro chloroquin, doxycycling, dexamethasone in the kit.
Unfortunately, China controls about eighty to ninety percent of the pharmaceuticals in the world, so if another pandemic hit and we’re having a trade war or something with them and they won’t ship these products around the world, might be short. So if you if you fill led to check out the Zelenko protocol kits. Right but a lot of people right now are just trying to get better sleep and they’re trying to build the immunity up and fight off the flu. So again, go to get the letter z stack stac k dot com.
Get the letter z stack dot com. If you decide to get any of the products, then you can say fifteen percent by using our promo code of save. I know I didn’t really get it. That’s not too complicated, is it? No againzis dot dot com promo code is saved to save fifteen percent.
Thanks for doing that. All right, here we go, Luke chapter six. I said, this is a long one sermon on the mount. But he’s this, this is he’s this is from a flat area, so they call it sermon of the plane.
But you’ll see the parallel teachings and even more different ones over Matthew chapter five. So here we go. I primarily use NIV because it’s easier for reading. For deeper studies, I recommend that NASB, but for reading purposes it helps with the new International Version.
One Sabbath, Jesus was going through the grain fields, and as disciples began to pick some heads of grain and rub it in their hands and eat the kernels. Some of the Pharisees who were tracking along with him, they asked, what are you doing Why are you doing this? Why are you doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath? Jesus answered them, have you never read what David did when he and his companions were hungry? He would frequently Jesus would frequently ask him, don’t you know, your teachers of the law, you study all day and night and keeping these six hundred plus additional commandments and rules. So he said, haven’t you read what David did? When he and his companions were hungry. He entered the House of God, and taking the consecrated bread, he ate what was only lawful for the priest to eat.
He also gave some to his companions. So didn’t you read because of the necess city of David is who was fleeing, he went in and ate the consecrated bread which was on the table, which was lawfully only allowed for the priest. And Jesus said to them, the son Aman Old Testament, name of one of the names or the titles of the Messiah, the son of Man is lord, It’s king, his sovereign of the Sabbath. On another Sabbath, he went into the synagogue and was teaching, And the man was there whose hand was shriveled, and the Pharisees and the teachers of the law were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, so they watched him closely to see if he would heal on the sabbath again.
Their hearts were, can we catch Jesus doing good for someone on the Sabbath and then and then accused him of violating the law But verse eight. But Jesus knew what they were thinking. So he knew what they’re thinking. So he went ahead and did what they were looking for.
Because remember he’s lord of the Sabbath. Jesus is lord over all. So Jesus said to the man with the shriveled hand, get up and stand in front of everyone. So he got up and stood there, and Jesus said to them, I ask you which is lawful on the sabbath, to do good or to do evil, to save life or to destroy it.
He looked around at them, and then he said to the man, stretch out your hand. He did so, and his hand was completely restored. Try to picture this it. The reason why I’m kind of really belaboring this point is that people in the world, those who reject Jesus Christ, those who walk amongst demons.
Intentionally they love darkness because they don’t come to the light because their deeds will be exposed. They these guys were so hardened they couldn’t even they couldn’t even marvel or take in this physical restoration right in front of their eyes and wake up and go, wait a minute, why are we like this at this guy. So the Pharisees, after seeing this guy’s hands completely restored, and the teachers of the law were furious and began to discuss with one another what they might do to Jesus. This is that mounting up pressure in this desire to want to kill Jesus.
And we see this growing as you go through the as the go through the Gospels, verse twelve. One of those days, Jesus went out to the mountainside to pray, and he spent the night praying to God. And when the morning came, he called his disciples to him and chose twelve of them, whom he also designated as apostles. Simon who he named Peter, his brother Andrew James, John Philip Bartholomew, Matthew Thomas James, son of Alpheus, Simon, who was called the zealot Judas son of James and judas Is Scariot who became a traitor.
He went down with them and stood at a level place, and a large crowd of his disciples was there, and a great number of people from all over Judae and Jerusalem, and from the coastal region around Tire and Sidon, who had come to hear him and to be healed of their diseases. Those troubled by impure spirits were cured, and the people all tried to touch him because power was coming from him and healing them all. You notice through when you go through the gospels, sometimes Jesus would heal some, sometimes he would not heal them. Sometimes he would heal a couple of lepers, and then the rest he wouldn’t.
So it’s God’s sovereign will. But at this moment is he’s building his as the movement’s growing, as the crowds are as his actions and his fulfilling of prophecies. We’re testifying his Lord. All of the people are being healed that we’re touching, All of them are healed, that we’re touching him.
And looking at his disciples, he said, blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the Kingdom of God. Blessed are you who are hungry, for you will be satisfied. Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh. Blessed are you when people hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name is evil because of the Sentoman.
How is that possible? How can we be satisfied? How can we be happy when we don’t have things because God saved us? And when we go through trials and we stay the course. God is glorified in that when his believers to the world say, you know what, I don’t have as much food, or I don’t have everything I want to eat right now. But someday my salvation is guaranteed, and I will be glorified in a glorified body with my Lord and Savior forever. I may not have a bunch of money or wealthy on this earth, but I am a co error with Christ.
I’m a child of God. Less of you who weep now, but then you will laugh. Unbelievers, those who not born again cannot This doesn’t work for them. They’re not blessed if you are poor, because there’s no there’s nothing, there’s no eternal promise of completeness.
Let’s are you and people hate you? And when they exclude you and insult you Jesus. This is one of his teachings that he does frequently because he’s saying, well, they hated you, they hate me, so they’re gonna hate you. They killed the prophets, so they’re gonna kill some of you. But blessed are you because your children of God wherese twenty three, Rejoice in that day and leave for joy, because great is your born in heaven.
For that is how the ancestors treated the prophets. Now he goes from blessed are the those who are children of God, regardless of the circumstances. Now he’s going to give the woes to those who are not children of God verse twenty four. But woe do you who are rich? Remember if you go back to verse twenty blessed are you who are poor? Twenty four? Woe do you who are rich? God’s ways are not our ways.
God is more concerned about our eternal position in glory than us having our best life. Now that is not a biblical term. You will not have your best secular humanistic life now because you’re in Christ. But woe do you who are rich, for you have already received your comfort.
Verse twenty five. Woe do you who you are well fed now, for you will go hungry. Woe to you who laugh now, for you will mourn and weep. Woe to you when everyone speaks well of you? This one, this one I think is pretty relevant today.
Woe to you when everyone speaks well of you. People that are trying to be loved by the world’s system, they really want to clicks on social media. They really want people to tell them how special they are and how great you are, and you’re so smart, and it really builds up this pride in the people and they but they don’t realize behind the scenes, people are slandering you. But Jesus says, woe to you when everyone speaks well of you, for this is how their ancestors treated the false prophets Verse twenty seven.
Be dealing with loving your love your enemies. But to you who are listening, I say, love your enemies. You’re good to those who hate you, Bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you. If someone slaps you, and one cheek turn the other also to them.
If someone takes your coat, you’re not withhold your shirt from them. Gift everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back due to others as you would have them do to you. If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that.
If you lend to those from whom you expect payment with credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to the sinners expecting to be repaid in full. But love your enemies and do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the most High. Because He is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.
Be merciful, Be merciful, just as your father is merciful. This section here is difficult for I think a lot of us, because it’s unjust in our system. But if we are holding our things loosely, and we have been bodi at a price, therefore we glorify God with their body and our spirit, which are God’s. Then if somebody takes our coat God’s like Jesus as well.
If they’re still standing there, you know, give me your shirt. Now, the Bible says to be why is the serpents gentle as doves. So the whole thing, the whole context here, I believe, is to have the mindset of Jesus, like Philippians too, who being God humble himself, taking on the form of a servant being crucified. So here Jesus is calling the believers live in a manner that you don’t hold on to the worldly things.
You want to be used by me to love people. And I believe in in those events, in that process that would be called out of those in darkness into the kingdom, because we are like the apostles, we would be on display for the world to see. This is what Christianity looks like. Verse thirty seven.
Do not judge or and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgiven, you will be forgiven. Given it will be given to you.
A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be poured into your lap. For the measure you use, it will be measured to you. He also told him this parable can the blind lead the blind. Will they not both fall into a pit? The student is not above the teacher, but everyone who’s fully trained will be like their teacher.
This is real. Summarize judging others. Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? Can you say to your brother brother, let me take the speck out of your eye. When you yourself fail to see the plank in your own eye, you hypocrite.
First take the plank out of your eye, then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye. Now, when it comes to judging in context in the Bible, we have to make assessments, right. We have to determine if somebody is of the faith. If somebody is openly in sin in the church, then there’s church discipline that takes place.
But Jesus is dealing with this idea of people running around that have all these issues and instead of walking instead with the spirit and being convicted in the word in prayer, they instead of going around trying to be the morality police for small things. You know it could be Ah, you didn’t come to the church you didn’t come to church for two weeks. Yeah, but you’re you’re mistreating people in every ministry you’re in. I mean, you know, it’s just it’s it’s the mindset Jesus is saying, don’t run around reviewing the world to be the morality police.
Instead focus on your own walk because we all have planks in our eyes that we need to be dealing with. It does not mean do not make assessments and determinations of if somebody is of the Lord based off of their lifestyle, based off of their comments, based off of their actions, because we are not to have fellowship with those who claim to be Christians yet to live in sin. And how do we know who to minister to or to present the Gospel to someone unless they’re not of the Lord Verse forty three. A good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad treat bear good fruit.
Each tree is recognized by its own fruit. People do not pick figs from thornbushes, or grapes or briars. A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart. An evil man brings out evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart.
For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. So going back up to the judging by what somebody says, you then know where they’re at, unless they say things that sound Christiani. But then you look at their lives and then you get around them a little bit. And then hey, brother, when you’re in the word, what’d you get.
I don’t read the Bible much in prayer. What did the Lord impress on your heart? I don’t really pray too much. James was talking about, you don’t want to let secular people go. The Bible says, do not judge.
That’s an eternal judgment. Of course, we evaluate and make determinations, and we do judge the actions of people that are unrighteous, which is how church discipline takes place. How can we how can we pray for those in pornography and all these sins if we’re not judging? But verse thirty seven, do not judge it you will and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned.
So don’t don’t fall into this. I don’t. I try to just go through the Bible for the most part. But I’ve seen this.
Don’t accept it. Christians, we are in a world surrounded by demons walking in people working their way toward hell through life. So we don’t we don’t need to really be too active in saying bad, bad, bad, since an incentive, that’s what they do, that’s the nature of man. And we’re not someone that says they’re going to hell.
They’re going to hell. They’re going to hell as an eternal judgment or determination or pound the gavel. But the Bible is very clear, and Paul’s very clear, do not be deceived fornicaters, homosexual offenders, Drunker Steve’s liars, these are unrepentant people will not go into heaven. So since we know the world’s walking in darkness, we don’t really need to be too busy telling him they’re lost, because they are lost in general, people are destined for separation from God for eternity, so we don’t need to be saying most of the world judged, condemned over No, we go around in our daily walk, we’re asking the Lord for forgiveness, and he’s faithful and just to forgive us.
And then we’re around people and if we see abuse, then we call it out people in the church. If they’re acting in world, then we call them out so that there’s a lot of determinations and judging going on, but the condemnation comes, the eternal judgment. The condemning to hell is God’s sovereign prerogative. We instead, as believers, should be forgiven for giving people.
We should be giving people. We should And sometimes the Lord chooses to bless us. It could be spiritual blessings, it could be financial blessings poured into our laps. But then he turns around says, and now the measure you’re using to evaluate people, it’s being measured against you.
So in other words, don’t focus on walking and step with the spirit as the light of the world drawing people through our lives. They’re drawn by the Holy Spirit to salvation in Christ. Don’t be busy running around telling people they’re lost, when by nature being born into Adam, there we are, okay. And one of the ways we can tell where somebody is in their life is because of the fruit that their life is bearing.
Verse forty six. This is a very simple, straightforward statement. Coming here and now, Jesus in the Bible doue loss or the doli we are the slaves of Jesus Christ, which means we are if we are true believers. We’ve laid aside all of our personal aspirations, and we are doing and seeking the will of God as our master.
So Jesus says in verse forty six to the crowd, why do you call me sovereign? Lord? Master? Why do you call me? These are capital ls? This, these are the this is the the the slave owner. But Jesus is a loving, caring lord, and we are We are those who have voluntarily laid down our lives after coming to faith. He says, why do you call me master? Why do you call me sovereign? Why do you say king? Why do you call me lord? Lord? And then do not do what I say? It’s a pretty good question, isn’t it. And so many people do it.
I’ve heard it, I know what it says. But it’s like, but what, well, you know I and I’ve heard guys say this. Well, you know, God makes them pretty? So what what’s a man supposed to do? Of course, I look, but I don’t touch whatever whatever. But Matthew seven twenty one parallels with this idea Matthew seven twenty one through twenty three, and I quoted this earlier.
But let’s let’s go through it together as we close out Luke six here, So Luke six, why do you call me lord Lord, and do not do what I say? Ask for everyone who comes to me and here’s my words and puts them into practice, I will show you what they are like. They are a man building a house who dug deep, dug down deep, and laid a foundation on rock that is Jesus Christ. To achieve the cornerstone built on the rock. Life is built on Christ.
We’re not like the next group here when a flood comes. For the believer, the torrent struck the house, but it couldn’t be shaken because it was well built. But for the other group, but for the one who hears my words and does not put him into practice, It’s like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck the house, it collapsed and it was its destruction was complete.
So Jesus question clarifying who’s the whys and who’s the foolish builder? Who? Which one built their life on Christ and his words and following him as Lord? And those who built their wisdom on the world Matthew seven and even back in verse fifteen to six, twenty. It’s you can contrast this fruits thing Matthew seven fifteen to figure out who’s a real believer and a false believer. Watch out for the false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they’re ferocious wolves, and by the fruit you will recognize them.
Do people pick grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bear is bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown to the fire, And by their fruits you will recognize them. So Jesus send in verse twenty one and Matthew seven.
Not everyone who says to me, Lord Lord. So again, Luke six forty six, why do you call me lord Lord? And do not do what I say? Matthew seven, twenty one. Not everyone who says to me, Lord Lord will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but only those who do the will of my Father, who is in heaven. Verse twenty two.
Matthew six, Matthew seven, many will say to me on that day on the judgment. Day, Lord Lord, did we not PROPHESI in your name, and in your name drive out demons, and in your name perform many miracles? Then I will tell them plainly, I never knew you away from me, you evildoers. So what do we get out of Luke Chapter six? We get Jesus, We get the sermon on the plane. Here we got the blessings are those who don’t have everything right now, and woe to those curses.
Woe to those who have everything now. Everybody likes them. Supposedly they have all the food. Everybody laughs at their jokes.
They’re rich, Jesus says, even in this position, Christians, if you don’t of everything, still bless those who curse you, because our our riches are in heaven. Love your enemies. Don’t go around being the moral judge of all people, because most of the people your meeting are already judged. Walking in darkness.
God is the sovereign, the one that does the condemnations. But for in our lives, we do have to make assessments and determinations. We do have to judge if somebody is trustworthy. How do you think people get loans? How do you determine if someone you do a business deal with or dating, you have to make a determinations.
But as Christians, we need to be focused on our walks to prayer, being in the Word, being in good fellowship with other Bible believers. You can go to a healthy Bible teaching church and then by doing that, the Holy Spirit is going to be revealing those areas that need to be corrected. And then we walk as light going through a valley of darkness, and people are drawn to the light or they’re repelled by the light. But you don’t need to tell someone who’s drowning they’re drowning.
When asked, you need to be able to tell them what the rope is that can save them. And Jesus is clear if you say Jesus is sovereign, king, master, but you don’t do what he says you like the person that says I’m a believer. But you built your foundation not on Christ, unlike those who built their house on their faith Christ. And when the storms come, just like the sheeps and the goat, the wheat and the chaff, the separation will come.
So be encouraged today, Christian, our eternal position is secure. Jesus is calling us to do what he says. Now, the Holy Spirit is walking with us as we walk in the Holy Spirit doing the good works that were laid out before we’re even born. Be the light of the world today.
