On Friday, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) released roughly 90 hours of the highly anticipated January 6 footage. While thousands of hours of footage remain unseen, Johnson has pledged to release all of the footage in the coming weeks and months.
House Republicans have staggered the release in order to blur visible faces in order to prevent pro regime groups such as the “Sedition Hunters” identifying more trespassers.
In the latest batch of footage, protesters can be seen peacefully walking around the building shortly after they were ushered in by Capitol police. A group of officers can be seen standing idly be and having a conversation as Trump supporters strolled by.
