Podcaster extraordinaire Joe Rogan speculated on a recent episode of his show that the Democratic Party is preparing to swap out President Joe Biden for California Governor Gavin Newsom on the 2024 presidential ticket.
‘I think they’re gonna get rid of him… I’d say they’re setting up Gavin Newsom for it,’ said Rogan last week.

Since before he took office, Biden, 81, has been plagued by doubts about his mental acuity and ability to lead the free world.
Days ago, Special Counsel Robert Hur’s report, which described Biden as a ‘sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory,’ brought those concerns to a boiling point ahead of the November election.
The report also determined that bringing charges against Biden for the mishandling of classified documents would likely be a fruitless effort because a jury would be hesitant to convict a man who did not have the cognitive will to commit a crime.
Rogan’s guest, Chris Williamson voiced the concern succinctly: ‘Basically, you can’t prosecute this guy because he’s non compos mentis, but you can let him run for the President of the United States in November.’

Rogan then questioned whether Biden will actually make it to November as the chosen representative of his party.
‘Don’t you think that that’s a ruse, him running for president?’ he asked.
‘I think they’re gonna get rid of him, I think they’re gonna move him out, they’re gonna force him to step down.
‘If I had to guess, and it’s just speculation, I’d say they’re setting up Gavin Newsom for it,’ he continued.

The host went on to criticize the president for a handful of the controversies that have been linked back to him, including the revelation that the University of Pennsylvania paid him some $900,000 for a role that entailed delivering just a dozen lectures, but never teaching a course or conducting any research.
Biden’s think tank – the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement – has also been linked back to funds from CCP-linked sources.
Rogan called the Ivy League gig an ‘old school,’ ‘mafia’ job, where he got paid a tremendous amount of money and ‘didn’t even have to show up.’
The pair also mocked the very specific cue cards Biden has been caught with on multiple occasions.
‘He just can’t keep a thought in his head when he starts talking about things. He forgets what he’s talking about all the time. He goes, well, whatever. He just says, well, whatever, and just drifts off,’ said Rogan.
Back in September, Newsom called the possibility of accepting the 2024 Democratic nomination for president ‘ridiculous.’
During an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity, Newsom said Biden has ‘an extraordinary record to run on,’ adding that he ‘couldn’t be more proud,’ but noting that the premise of the question was ‘hypothetical.’
A super-majority of Americans in recent polls have voiced concerns about Biden’s advanced age and his ability to effectively lead during a second term.
Following the release of the Special Counsel’s report, in conjunction with Biden’s record-low approval rating, Democrats in DC and beyond are preparing to hit the panic button.
‘I think it is now panic time. Biden should not be our standard bearer,’ a former senior Democrat White House Official who worked with Biden, told Dailymail.com.
It’s increasingly clear we have a deeply flawed candidate. Democracy is in the balance and this is not a smart path for our party.’
Waiting in the wings as potential candidates to replace Biden include Newsom, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, and Illinois Governor JB Pritzker.
Former First Lady Michelle Obama’s name has also been tossed around, though she has previously held fast to the position that she will never run for president.
One thing that remains unclear is how the party would bypass Vice President Kamala Harris, who would be the obvious choice to stand in for Joe Biden.
Harris and Biden have traded spots in recent months for rock-bottom poll numbers. A recent NBC News poll but Harris’ approval rating at a mere 28 percent.
